E-bay/Sewing Machine Update

I've been doing pretty well with selling stuff on e-bay. I just sold a hiking backpack infant carrier that gave me a huge boost. I'm at 62% of my $200 goal! I've only been at it about a month, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

I know there are a lot of you out there that want to sell stuff on e-bay, but keep putting it off because you've don't know how and are a little intimidated by it. Don't be. It's very easy and they lead you along step by step. Just do it, you'll be happy you did.

E-bay Update!

I sold a few more coupons on e-bay and a damaged chi flat iron (I listed that it was damaged!). I'm up to $11.43 or 6% of my goal. That means only $188.57 to go!

I have a few more things up for auction right now and a ton more just waiting to be posted. I'm off to a slow start, but I'm sure I'll make it!

E-bay Update!

E-bay Update: I just sold my first two coupons on e-bay yesterday. I had an almost expiring formula coupon and a pretty decent coupon/coupon booklet for Babies R Us. I held on to them just in case and then decided I definitely wouldn't use them, so to e-bay they went.

I made a whopping $1.72 on my first two sales after insertion fees, final value fees & shipping!

Even though it's not a great start, I have a few more coupons, a ton of baby clothes and some other odds and ends. I will not be discouraged! :)

Sewing Machine Fund!

I have been doing a lot of sewing projects lately; curtains & crib skirt for the nursery, blankets, bibs, burp cloths, etc. for friend's baby gifts. I also have a lot of other projects lined up; aprons, car seat cover, and more baby gifts. My little sewing machine broke a few projects ago and I have resorted to using a fairly old (maybe 20 years or so) borrowed machine. While it works fine, I'd really like to get my own new fancy one! Maybe one that threads itself!

How will I pay for this, you ask? I've decided I'm going to sell stuff on e-bay! I have tons of baby clothes, baby toys, and I noticed today people are buying some coupons that I have and probably won't use. I'm going to get creative and hopefully make enough money to buy myself a new sewing machine. I'll keep track of my progress and share with you.

Any suggestions on what sewing machine I should get? Exact one, brands, features????

More importantly....how much should I try to save?
